Aunt Sarah's Smoothies

"This tastes just like a milk shake!" ~Anamarie Eleanor, age 4

  • 1 1/2 Cups Vanilla Soy Milk
  • 10 oz Frozen Strawberries (or other berries)
  • 2 TBSP Wheat Germ
  • 6 oz (3/4Cup) Yogurt (optional)
  • 1 Banana (optional, but makes it extra creamy)

Blend together on low speed until blended, then blend on high for 2 minutes until creamy. Add more vanilla soy milk or frozen strawberries until desired consistency.

**We enjoy these smoothies with popcorn (and a movie!) for a complete dinner. They are loaded with nutrition. If you want a lighter version substitute ice for some of the berries.

  2. My mom and I made these when I was in Bemidji, and my dad had no idea there was anything healthy like soy milk and wheat germ in them! Unfortunately, Rob saw the soy milk on the counter but at least we got one of them!
